Today as in the past, in every corner of the world, it’s natural to say Mandello del Lario and think of Moto Guzzi. The bond between the Eagle and the town on the shores of Lake Como is so strong and enduring that it’s impossible to imagine one without the other.
This symbiotic relationship is destined to last well beyond its first hundred years. For this same occasion, in fact, we have witnessed both the preview of the brand new V100 Mandello (which we’ll discover at the official presentation at EICMA 2021) and the announcement of the revolutionary project of conservative redevelopment of the Moto Guzzi industrial site, where our favorite two-wheelers have come to life for the last century.
Zero delocalization, no downsizing: the project looks to a future that promises to be as rosy as ever for one of the world’s best-loved motorcycle manufacturers; and it does so, naturally, at the Mandello headquarters. Here, midway between the lake shores and the mountains, the Moto Guzzi of the Eagle’s second century of life will continue to be produced with the same passion and the same attention to detail that have distinguished them from 1921 to the present day…
