A true legend of the world of customization takes on the Moto Guzzi legend.
For those who know about custom motorcycles – but not only –, the Japanese customizer Shinya Kimura needs no introduction. An artist even more than a customizer, he is the star of the docufilm made by director Toru Tokikawa. For three long years, Toru followed step by step the creative process that led to the work “Squalo Veloce” (“Fast Shark”), created starting from a 1980 Moto Guzzi V1000 G5.
We Proud Owners had the privilege of having a conversation with Toru to capture the essence of a work that crosses the boundaries of a simple aesthetic and mechanical modification of a motorcycle. It was an exciting journey into Shinya’s mentality, inspiration and manual skill, enriched by personal reflections on his intimate affections and on what Moto Guzzi represents for one of the most internationally acclaimed custom motorcycle builders…
