THE REUNION 2019: STYLE AND SPEED, EVEN IN THE RAIN!

« A huge Guzzi “Hi” to everyone!

I’m Paolo, I live in Genoa and I’m 32 years old. I’ve been a member of Proud Owners for the past two years and since 2008 I’ve also been the “proud owner” of a magnificent V7 Classic, which I’ve customised in what I like to call the “Travel Enduro” style. I can go absolutely anywhere on her.

This year I was lucky enough to be selected by Proud Owners to represent the community at The Reunion, an event that draws hordes of riders and avid fans of café racers, classics, scramblers, trackers and custom motorcycles from all around the world. The venue for this year’s festival was the Monza Eni Circuit, the perfect backdrop for a roaring end of May weekend that’s all about “revving it up” in good company.

Given that this is a biking event and that I’ve already bragged to everyone that I can go absolutely anywhere on my motorcycle, I never even remotely considered the idea of tackling the Genoa-Monza stretch on anything that doesn’t have two wheels. The weather forecast was terrible but a few drops of rain have never stopped a Guzzi rider, so I sorted all my stuff out on the Friday and then went to bed. Before falling asleep I went over my entire mission in my mind one last time, namely to cover the entire event for you as the official reporter for Proud Owners!
